Bishop James Kirksey, was born in a God fearing loving home with 4 siblings at the time. Later on in life Bishop's mother and step-father began taking in foster children. By the time Bishop was begining in the ministry he was up to 10 siblings. Bishop was called into the ministry when he was 14 years old at a small youth camp in the mountains of North Carolina. At the time he was already traveling with his family as they sang Southern Gospel music through West Virgina, Virgina, Tennesse, and South Carolina and was also the Assistant Praise & Worship leader at thier church called Faith Alive Fellowship with Pastor's Raymond & Shirley Hinson. As he was at youth camp God was dealing with him about ministry and on the last night of camp the director of the camp said if anyone feels led to pray for anyone do so at this time. He was following his youth pastor and youth group as any teenage would do when asked to pray for people. However, God spoke to Bishop and told him to pray for this youth lady. As walking over Bishop realized that this youth lady was possessed with demons. God spoke to him to lay hands on the girl and he began to pray in the name of Jesus for the demons to be realized from the lady. The girl began to move back and forth and Bishop said peace be still in the name of Jesus and peace was still. The lady was freed that night and acceptable Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Later that night Bishop was laying in bed with everyone asleep and a voice began to speak to him and tell him son this is what I have called you to do. Bishop was socked and began looking around because the voice was familar. No one was awake and Bishop said what have you called me to do and the voice spoke and said I have called you to preach deliverance to the captives and to set those at liberty. The next morning Bishop left youth camp and went back home and a few weeks later was preaching the word of God on Faith in his church. From that moment on Bishop began to go on mission trips to Mexico and preached deliverance and people were delivered, saved, and healed. At the age of 16 years old God send Bishop to a church in Concord, NC and began to move him into a greater authority. God placed Bishop into a position with Victory Ministry with Pastor John & Mamie Miller. He became Associate Pastor by the time he was 17 and began assisting in leading the church to new levels. Bishop became licensed into the ministry at this time and continued to grow. As God continued to lead Bishop went on a mission trip with Pastor Wayne Moore of Concord, NC on a last minute call. After returning from the mission trip God spoke to Bishop Kirksey to go and help Pastor Wayne Moore and Pastor David to start a new work. He became Associate Pastor of Words of Life church when he turned 18. The church grew from 10 to over 150 within a short time. Bishop continued to do mission work and helped open Small Miracles Ministries home in Harrisburg, NC which ministered to over 31 pregnant women within a years time. God lead Bishop to go full time minsitry and began to evangelize. Bishop stepped down as Senior Pastor of Words of Life church to travel with Apostle Paul Keck in the full time tent minsitry.
