Victory Ministry

Pastors Samar & Felecia Ghandour
Directors of Victory Ministry

Update:

Pastor Samar has returned from nearly a 6 month trip to Liberia.  While he was there he was able to train and plant 31 churches!  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!  He is now back in the states trying to raise money for the support of these churches and for the continued expansions of the ministry.

PLANTING 101 CHURCHES IN 5 YEARS!

Victory Ministry has a plan to plant approximately one hundred churches in a five-year period. It is intended that the ministry will train ten men to execute the church planting with a ten-man church planting team. The ten men will be trained at the headquarters for a period of three months with church planting strategies, theology, preaching, and mission. These men are not intended to stay and serve as pastors of these churches.

To ensure the shepherding of the churches, a total of one hundred and five pastors will be trained to pastor the church. Five of the one hundred and five will be trained in church supervisory leadership to supervise the one hundred pastors, provide additional pastoral support to regional church groups.

Because of the war in Liberia, there is a category of cities in base of the level of destruction and the recovery process.  Victory ministry has identified four categories and factored that these cities will generate varying cost for the construction of churches based on the labor and material pricing. Major cities, like Monrovia, Buchanan, Sanniqullie, Ganta, are very populated and the cost of material and labor are very high.  Minor cities are cities with a population of less than 500,000 residents, making it less expensive for the construction of churches. Surviving towns are locations where the war did not destroy the town and recovering towns are areas where destruction was to the maximum and the people were left with no infrastructures to carry on their lives. The cost of construction is a little less than the surviving towns.

Discipleship operation is the process where the churches when planted are not deserted but the pastors are assisted with the provision of sound discipleship that will root them in the faith.

There is a five-year pay structure for the church planters because the church planting operation is a five-year period of time in which they would be full service.

It is intended that the pastor of the churches would work within a five-year period when assigned to facilitate an independent operation. During this period of time, the ministries will province assistance for the pastors and it will be waned off at the end of the five-year period.

Lodging in Monrovia is extremely expensively, thus the Ministry plans to build a guest house to host its guests a cut the cost of their travel to see the work of the ministry. The lodging and feeding of our guest will be free and donation will be welcome. This would encourage sponsors and other supporting guests to visit the ministry and see the use of their funds.

Shipping from the USA will assist the ministry in purchasing materials and essential for the ministry at a lower cost then buying in Liberia. These items and the cars will be shipped in containers from the USA. One good example is a four wheel drive jeep would cost $11,000.00 in Liberia and that may be purchased here for $5000.00 and shipped for $2000.00. The container would also be used for the shipment of other materials needed there for the ministry’s use.

The training center is the facility, at the headquarters compound, where all pastors, teachers, evangelist, church planters, church workers will be trained. All missionaries, guest, and other individuals not familiar with the culture of Liberia will also be trained at this site.

Five round trip air fares from Liberia to the USA is needed to continue to maintain the relationship between the ministry and the sponsors, supports, and new supports here in the USA. This would facilitate the international director to continue to present the work of the ministry and the new work after the five years are over.

There is no public utility in Liberia at this time, everything has to be individually produced and consumed. There will be a need for a power generator to run the office, guest house, and training center.

Two computers will be needed: one for operational use, one for administrative use.

The land line phone system in Liberia is dysfunction due to destruction from the war and cellular phone is the primary means of phone service. The second phone referred to as land line phone is the VIOP phone system, which would be used to communicate internationally and reduce or eliminate the cost of international cellophane call bill.
